Acupuncture is a health practice where hair-thin needles are inserted into the skin at specific points on the body. According to Chinese medical theory, these points will influence the body by helping to restore the body's natural physiological balance. Acupuncture can help to correct a number of ailments such as pain, anxiety, stress, depression, headaches, migraines, digestive problems, insomnia, fatigue, etc., and can easily assimilate into your current medical or fitness regime. When done by a licensed acupuncturist, acupuncture has a low amount of associated side effects, no addictive qualities, and can allow you to go back to work/play without a decrease in mental cognition or physical performance.

Chinese herbal treatments are an excellent option to help address your personal health needs. In most cases, they can easily integrate into your current acupuncture or Western medical plans or can work great as a stand-alone treatment to bring your body back to balance. Like acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine can treat a number of different ailments, from pain to digestive problems, and when administered properly, there are low risks of side effects and no addictive qualities to contend with.

Cupping is a process where glass cups are "stuck" to the skin of the body by causing a vacuum in the cup. The cups can then remain in place or be moved around the body using an oil medium and a specific sliding technique. This therapy helps to pull out "deep stagnations" that are hindering the natural physiological processes of the body. By removing these blockages, the body can be restored to its natural physiological balance. During cupping therapy, the cups will often leave a mark that looks like a bruise; however, there is very little to no discomfort associated with these marks. This is often a popular therapy used by athletes and people that suffer from repetitive motion injuries, as well as those looking to benefit from the relaxing release that cupping can bring.

Microneedling, also called Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) or Percutaneous Collagen Induction (PCI), is a natural, minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that promotes the production of healthier skin. It has been clinically shown to activate the body's rejuvenation processes which heal and revitalize the skin on a cellular level. Through the use of microneedling, early aging signs and skin damage can be reversed, thus returning your skin to a healthy, vibrant state.
At Foothills Acupuncture, we enhance microneedling sessions with hyaluronic acid, nano-needling, bio-light sessions, and TCM Serum infusions. Combined, these offer an extremely effective solution for the treatment, health, and beauty of your skin.

The purpose of nano needling is to enhance the absorption and penetration of skincare products into the skin, allowing for better delivery of active ingredients. The microchannels created by the nano needles help to increase the efficacy of topical serums, gels, or other products applied during the treatment. These products can contain various beneficial substances such as vitamins, antioxidants, peptides, or hyaluronic acid.

Biolight Therapy is an alternative medical approach that utilizes specific wavelengths of light to stimulate healing or restore balance in the body. It is based on the belief that light can influence cellular function and promote wellness.
